a week around well being and yoga With our team of teachers, instructors and providers, we spent several months developing this course, between an authentic practice of Yoga and the discovery of what we hold as the most beautiful of all the islands in the world: Corsica. This one-week retreat, will be led by Patrick Frapeau. It is conceived for both, beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Patrick Frapeau is the founder of Mysore Practice in Paris, "Authorized Teacher Level 2" by the KPJAYI (Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute). First a student of the illustrious Pattabhi Jois then of R. Sharat Jois, he has been teaching Yoga since 2005. Convinced of the immense power of resilience of Yoga, he has developed his teaching to touch many people, including in penitentiary centres in France. He also travelled to Iraq to train psychologists to accompany refugees through the various techniques of this age-old philosophy. Patrick Frapeau is a great Master of Ashtanga Yoga. He is known for his pedagogy, in his way of sharing the techniques as well as the wisdom of Yoga. During your stay, he will offer you an immersion in the Mysore Style, the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga, as it has been practiced since its origin in Southern India, in Mysore. He will also lead thematic and practical workshops based on a series of postures, pranayama, meditation and philosophy. As a certified Iyengar and Ashtanga Yoga teacher and Founder of Lemon & Love Yoga, Antonina Rubina will have the pleasure to assist Patrick Frapeau during this workshop, and to share this privileged moment of Yoga with you. NB: Please see further information on Patrick Frapeau below (part 2.). 10:00 Breakfast 11:00 - 12:30 Free time, rest 13:00 Lunch 15:30 - 19:00 Every other day, thematic and practical workshops around the families of postures, pranayama, meditation and philosophy: History of modern yoga, the roots of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. Myth and legends or how Indian mythology spreads the values of yoga. Philosophy, the yoga sutras and its 8 petal system. In Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, jumping is the perfect expression of strength and lightness. Through the use of the Bandhas and the understanding of the directions, we will experience lightness. A detailed study of the different families of postures. Precision work for a better understanding of the postures and overcoming certain obstacles. Pranayama: the art of breathing and the expansion of the vital force. 15:30 - 19:00 Every other day, varied activities*, exploring Corsica. Activities orchestrated by the Lemon & Love Yoga Team (excursions, horse riding, kayaking, snorkelling, sailing, Fauna & Flora explorations, spectacular sites viewed from the sky, local markets...). NB: please see the note on the various activities* proposed in the "complementary information" section below. 20:00 Dinner 21:30 - 22:30 Thematic evening* around herbal teas and infusions (observing the sky with a telescope, singing, readings, philosophy, history). END OF COURSE PARTY (day 6)Corsican evening: Projection of the most beautiful moments of the course. Guitar player and singer, Corsican dinner (Vegetarian or Vegan) LAST DAY (day 7)Early rising: Hot drinks, fresh flavoured drinks, dried fruits 7:30-9:30: Yoga practice 9:45: Breakfast 11:00-12:30: Preparation for departure, gifts and goodbyes, airport shuttle 2. activités : complementary Information Morning practice from 7:30 to 10:00 - Mysore practiceThe “Mysore” form is a traditional Ashtanga Yoga form following the way it has been practiced since its origin in Mysore, Southern India. Patrick Frapeau, counts many years of practice and teaching. He is very accessible and will accompany you individually with strength and benevolence throughout your practice. Beginners shall be guided step by step, progressively led to an autonomous practice so that they may discover and experience, alongside the other practitioners, the magic of the Mysore style. In the afternoon, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, every other day, you may indulge in an activity of your choice.The activities we propose are varied and mainly focused on the discovery of Corsica: (excursions, horse riding, kayaking, snorkelling, sailing, Fauna & Flora explorations, spectacular sites viewed from the sky, local markets, etc.). All these activities are orchestrated by the Lemon & Love Yoga Team. Your participation in our Yoga classes is an opportunity for us to show you, through a wide range of activities, all the treasures of this island of beauty, surely the most beautiful of all the islands in the world. Therefore, we have selected activities that we know, we practice, and we supervise so that you may, in total safety and with all your senses, commune with Nature. This natural space is unique, and its richness, authenticity, and diversity are matched only by its charm and beauty. When you will arrive at the Saparella Reserve, we will take time with each of you to make your choice among all the activities available, in order to provide the best exclusive personalized service. DISCOVER THE MENU We have chosen to offer you menus elaborated with seasonal organic products, mainly from Corsica. In order to contribute to the non-wasteful use of food, we will ask you to reserve the composition of your menus at the time of booking. In order to guarantee you the freshness of the dishes which we propose to you, we will ask you, at the time of your reservation, to make your choice in the proposed menus. Thus, the producers that we have selected will be able to foresee the right quantity to be taken, and you will participate yourselves in an active way in the step which is ours: to limit the food waste.
